| Information you will find on this page: | ![]() ** Don't forget to visit the beach sometime!! |
I've found that the cheapest way to visit places (especially
for college students)
is backpacking and staying in Youth Hostels. So
click here to go to the Homepage:
- This is the main site for Hosteling International.
Things that you need when hosteling:
1. Youth Hostel ID
2. Youth Hostel Guide book. (when traveling, this is your life!)
3. Maps of the countries you are visiting, and where the hostels
are.
I also like Bed and Breakfast hotels.
Bed and Breakfast hotels are a little (to a lot) more expensive
then Youth Hostels, but you get your own room,
much better
service, and a far better hotel. - I think that everyone should
do this sometime.
Here is a great link to a B & B page: 1ST
TRAVELER'S CHOICE
-Don't forget to check out the MouseMap on the site.. it's nifty.
If you are interested in EUROPE Bed and Breakfast hotels, go to:
AccomoDATA World Travel
- Click on the globe to enter.
Typical Bed and Breakfasts cost somewhere from $40 to $120 US. Since you can share a room, divide this by two,
and the price is not that bad.
If you are interested in the true nature of CAMPING..
Eurocamp - This site is very helpful for finding campsites across the entire continent of Europe.
It has some 200+ sites. Have fun!
HOTELS - Ahh the regular old hotel.
Here is a pretty good site to go to: Localhotels.com
There are so many airplane travel pages to find cheap flights, it's crazy.
Before you buy, please research into it, go to my link on useful advice on:

Mother nature doesn't hold for anyone.. so I figured that I
should add
a link to a International weather page: INTELLICAST
If you are going to Europe, try checking out Go Europe
Go to the Traveler's Forum, and read the bulletin board . It's
really nice.
I wish that I could put pictures of different places all over
this web page.
However, since I only have a few Meg, I'll just have to put links
on as many
as I can.

YAHOO COUNTRIES
So, you will want to check out the countries you are visiting and
find out as much about the necessities for each. Going to an
information Database will help. YAHOO Countries is
a good place. Click there, then pick the country.
You can get info from Yahoo at the: Yahoo Budget Travel
There's also a really good hiking/backpacking/Camping page with information on all of the good places to see at: Gorp Backpacking
You Also might want to check out Newsgroups for additional
information I missed, or you want to know. Here are some links:
National Parks
rec.backcountry
rec.camping
Also.. you'll want to know about the cultures if you are
traveling
to different countries. Currencies, customs, etc. look here:
news.social then find your
country.
A good thing to know is Currency Exchange. Find out
what GOOD rates
are BEFORE you enter a new country with a different currency.
Train
stations and airports are usually not good places to exchange.
You can
find much better. Like banks, etc.
